Description: Z208 is a cast iron electrode with a low carbon steel core and a strong graphitized coating. It can be used for both AC and DC. The weld can become gray cast iron when it is cooled slowly, but its crack resistance is poor.  Application: Used to repair defects in gray iron castings.    Chemical composition of weld metal(%):

  Notice: 1. The electrode must be baked for 1 hour at 150℃ before welding operation; 2. The defects of less rigid parts in small thin-wall cast iron pieces can be welded without preheating, but general weldments need to be preheated up to around 400℃. If the weldments preserve heat and slowly cool down, they are on the cards that the soldering joints can bear cut processing. 3.
